Competition season is drawing near and our FTC and FLL teams have been working harder than ever!
FTC
FTC scrimmages and competitions are quickly coming up and our teams are working hard to get out robots ready! Most teams have almost finished coding Teleop and have started coding their Autonomous. Everyone is scrambling to finish repairs on their robots. The pressure is on for our teams as they try to complete everything by the scrimmage on December 13th and the competition on January 11th!

FLL
On Saturday, Nov 1, our FLL teams went to a scrimmage at SciTech. All the teams made good progress on their robots and scored well for their first time competing this year! The Pittsburgh Purploids had impressive improvements over the course of the scrimmage, reaching above and beyond with the code they added. The scrimmage was a good learning experience for the students, preparing them well for their upcoming competition. Afterwards, the students got a brief tour of CMU’s Robotics Institute, inspiring future careers in engineering!

GoS Giving
Even with all the chaos, our teams still find time to celebrate Thanksgiving with a GoS Giving. Everyone had an evening of amazing food and fun games! Thank you to everyone who brought food!
Looking Forward
We’re excited to see how our FLL and FTC teams perform at the upcoming competitions and scrimmages and wish them good luck!
